Executive Director, Institutional Sales

Job Description:

Drive growth across Morgan Stanley Investment Management’s suite of investment capabilities
Develop new institutional client relationships and enhance existing relationships across the West Coast region of the United States
Drive fundraising results across equities, fixed income, private credit, private equity, private real assets, and hedge funds
Cultivate and manage relationships with institutional asset owners, including public pensions, corporate pensions, insurance, endowments, foundations, and healthcare systems
Partner with Consultant Relations, Product Specialists, Marketing, and Portfolio Management
Support strategy execution and fund marketing initiatives
Maintain detailed knowledge of public- and private-market investment strategies
Understand client investment objectives and provide tailored solutions
Mentor and guide junior professionals
Support continued development of the organization’s talent base

Requirements:

Minimum of 8 years of experience developing new client relationships at an asset management platform
Exposure to both public and private markets asset classes
Experience building and maintaining relationships with sophisticated asset owners
Strong understanding of institutional sales processes, including consultant coverage and investment teams
Understanding of institutional segments such as corporate defined benefit, public pension systems, insurance, endowments, foundations, and healthcare systems
Investment and markets acumen
Ability to synthesize, distill, and articulate investment strategies straightforwardly
Excellent written and presentation skills
Strong organizational skills
Results-oriented mindset and accountability
Experience working in a highly collaborative environment
Willingness to travel as needed
FINRA Series 7 and 63 required
